Comrades I saw the tale end of the RTE programme about the role of revolutionary women after the signing of the Treaty. The part I saw was amazing and seemed to show that many members of Cumann na mBann remained solid republicans and stood by the Republic against the Brit enforced Treaty, stories of imprisonment, Hunger Strikes, beatings, deaths and exile. Strong, couragous women. Does anyone know of where I can get my hands on a copy of the documentary and have people any book recommendations dealing with this period and these Heroic women, who are often ignored in male dominated history?
